In terms of the structure of the splitter, it can be divided into three categories. That is cylindrical, parallel, and curved cam dividers.

Cylindrical cam splitter, because its cam and output indexing shaft are arranged up and down, so the diameter of the roller distribution circle of its output shaft can be designed to be relatively large, and a large number of needle bearings can be arranged. Therefore, it is more suitable for small indexing angles and multi-indexing applications, the transmission torque is also greater, and the indexing accuracy is the highest. Its actual number of divisions is between 2~100, and the stroke angle is optional from 75~360.

The input and output shafts of the parallel cam splitter are parallel to each other. The structure of the cam is divided into two-piece and three-piece. The two-piece structure is simple and the three-piece type transmits large torque. The actual division number is between 1~10, and the stroke angle is between 70~360 degrees. Especially suitable for occasions with few divisions and large divisions, light load, medium load, heavy load, low speed, medium speed and high speed can be applied. It is widely used in various automatic machines such as ceramics, printing, carton, etc.

The arc cam splitter is currently the most widely used, but its torque is not as good as that of the cylindrical cam and parallel cam splitter. Its advantage is that there are more frame numbers and models, providing as many types as possible. If subdivided, it can be divided into 5 types: shaft output type, flange output type, flat table type, hollow type, flat DA type, etc. The practical division number is from 2 to 50, and the moving angle is selectable from 90 to 360.

In addition, the arc cam divider can be designed as a swing-back type according to customer requirements. The swing angle can be set arbitrarily, up to 180o, and can also be designed as a lifting swing-back and lifting indexing type with a composite function.
